Mon Oncle
A carefree, unique spirit, Hulo, lives alone on top of an old apartment building in the city. His sister is married with a son and lives in a very modern suburban home. She wants her brother to have direction and share in the postwar prosperity. But Hulo sees abundance all around him and doesn’t want to be confined; he truly lives in the moment. He is perfectly happy rambling through life. The film is packed with glimpses of so many types of people that it becomes a great celebration of life.

She has to decline her family expectations in order to do this, even changing her name from Morgenstern to Morningstar.
