Universal theme overview

Abundance is a child of the Universal themes series, and is part of the Big ideas group of themes. This is a theme overview post.

Abundance is enough and more than enough. Needs are met, ideas and opportunities are available for everyone. There is no limit on creative expression. Pure abundance is infinity. We can speak of the abundance of the sky or the oceans. And we can talk about unlimited potential for joy and wealth. The flip side is also true, though. Our world contains unlimited potential for anger and poverty. Each of us take daily actions that tap into what kind of abundance will predominate the world.

Big ideas

  • The resources of the universe are unlimited.
  • Wealth can be measured in an infinite number of ways. Define your own abundant success.
  • Sharing what you have is the key to getting more from life.
  • There is no limit on expression, there is always room for creativity.
  • Joy is not dependent in situation or time. Joy is celebrating life itself.
  • Too much of anything is as harmful as too little.

Key concepts

  • Actualization occurs when you fulfill your potential. Thinking creates, action makes it happen. This process creates your reality each moment.
  • An affectation is acting in a way that is artificial. To maintain your creative connection, there must be an inherent truth behind everything you do.
  • Your blind spot is made up of the things you cannot see. You know nothing about the subject and are closed off to learning about it. Create some connections.
  • Common sense is the ability to apply good judgment to everyday decisions naturally.  You are in tune with the situation and react with the energy of the universe.
  • Ignorance means you are unaware, and don’t know. We are all unaware of most things in the universe. Seek to be aware, to know, and to act on that knowledge.
  • Modesty resists extremes in behavior and expression. A modest person understands how to fit into the larger world and to contribute to its rhythms.
  • Narcissism means you can only see yourself, what affects you and connects to you. You turn in on yourself and can only see inward, instead of the outside world.
  • Openness means accessible, available for connections without restrictions or obstructions. Creation and enlightenment can only happen if you are able to receive it.
  • Pride is when you understand and appreciate your value. You are pleased with your accomplishments and associations.  Be careful not to feel superior to others.
  • Vanity is an acute awareness of your appearance and accomplishments. You have a high opinion of yourself and spend excessive energy maintaining it.
