A family is a group of people or things who share a common source or share similar features and goals. The most fundamental social group.

  • People are social animals and we thrive best when interacting with others.
  • Those around us mirror us, and how we react to them tells us about ourselves.
  • Traditions are better the more inclusive they are.
  • Love is a choice we make, to give attention work and investment to someone or something.
  • It is worth looking into who and where you came from for much more of your present life comes from there than you realize.

Family key concepts

  • A heritage is something handed down from the past: characteristics, culture, traditions, ideas.
  • An inheritance is when you receive property, roles, privileges, or responsibilities from a predecessor.
  • Labels are descriptive words or phrases applied to a person, group, theory, etc. as a generalized classification.
  • Love is a deep and tender feeling of affection for or attachment to a person, animal, or object.
  • A mirror is anything that reflects the image or concept of what is opposite. The representation can be exact or distorted.
  • Nurturing is anything that cultivates or promotes the development of. It is supporting, training and educating.
  • Protection is something that shields from injury, danger, or loss.
  • A rivalry occurs when two or more people or groups each striving for the same thing. A hopefully evenly matched competitive association with each side trying to equal or outdo the other.
  • A sanctuary is a place of refuge or protection. There you are free from harm, aided and not judged.
  • Traditions are made up of handing down stories, customs, beliefs, and wisdom from one generation to another.
