June Affirmations: 15 transitions to summer

Symbolically igniting the “fire of the year” (summer), celebrated on the summer solstice later in the month, June has the most hours of daylight (in the Northern hemisphere). We are finally into the active, warming, loving, fertile part of the calendar. It is the season when we are active, creating our supplies for the year. June is the beginning of summer, so traditionally it is viewed as a month of balance between the unstable type of beauty and weather of spring and the hot, languid months of late summer. It is getting warmer, but not as unbearably hot as it will be. Our spiritual life can begin to warm as well, if we are open to it. Our purpose may begin to reveal more of itself, but just as in the garden, we have to watch out for the invasive, weedy distractions.

Focus Questions for June:

  • How will you prepare for the oppressive times ahead?
  • Are you as integrated into the community around you as you could be?
  • How do you acknowledge the wisdom voice within yourself?

My favorite June Affirmations:
