Peace is a child in the Universal themes series and is a member of the Spiritual theme family.
Peace is stillness, tranquility and calm. Generally untroubled with a healthy level of stress. Living without regret of the past or anxiety of the future.
Big ideas
- Worrying doesn’t change anything, it only makes the present moment uneasy.
- Fear does not go away, but facing fear is easier than feeling helpless.
- Our world can only operate because we all agree to follow certain rules.
- The people and things you surround yourself with influence your mood, state of mind and stability.
- Comfort may be a sign of peace but it is not how you get there.
Peace key concepts
- An agreement reflects a state of harmony, an arrangement between various components or parties to solve a problem or accomplish a jointly held goal.
- Anxiety occurs when the mind is disturbed or concerned about a future or uncertain event that causes worry.
- Pure calmness is the absence of motion, agitation or disturbance. A state of rest and quiet.
- Disorder is a lack of organization or arrangement which generally creates confusion. This chaos can also be inspiration for new discoveries or breakthroughs.
- Fear is a feeling of alarm and discomfort caused by the expectation of danger, pain, disaster or other unpleasant experience.
- A moment is an instant, the smallest way to divide time. An exact point in time.
- Negotiation is dealing with another person in a bargaining or trade agreement, the process of coming to an agreement with both parties trusting the other and agreeing to carry out agreed upon terms.
- Nirvana is the state of freedom from the pain of the external world, it is the end of the self as an individual and a merging with the greater consciousness.
- Regret is grief or trouble caused by past choices or losses.
- Silence occurs when everything is perfectly quiet and still.
