Sense of place key concepts

• The architecture is the structure, the supports that hold a design together.
• The atmosphere is the overall tone or mood of something such as a place or a work of art, how that work or place makes you feel. Atmosphere extends to the main influence of a place or group.
• Aura means breeze and suggests invisible fluid flowing from something else, such as the scent wafting from a flower.
• The environment is the surroundings where something exists both external and internal conditions that affect the nature of the thing and its community. 
• Hospitality is receiving and entertaining strangers or guests without reward and with a generous amount of kindness and comforting actions.
• The milieu is the environment or surroundings where things take place.
• The setting is the context, the situation and circumstances surrounding a person, object or event.
• Spirit is the breath of life, and it refers to the intangible, nonmaterial part of everything that is alive.
• Something sterile does not produce any reaction, outcome or product.
• Texture refers to the surface of an object, and how that structure is perceived by sight and touch.
